Giles County

Office of

Emergency Management

We have organized and trained an all volunteer Hazardous Materials Response Team. Equipment and training for this team was provided through state and federal funds. This team consists of 15 personnel, with 10 being trained to the technician level, 5 of these members are also certified through the Tennessee Meth Task Force as clandestine lab technicians. We are one of the only counties in the state who are capable of handling their own meth labs. We work closely with the Giles County Sheriff’s Department as part of the Giles County Meth Taskforce.Type your paragraph here.
